FLIKS | “Theater of the Mind” Album Cover

Unsurprisingly, the artwork for Ludacris’ sixth album is, in a word: DOPE!! In related news, as his fans anxiously await the release of Theater of the Mind, Ludacris leaks were inundated on the world wide web today, causing the award winning rapper to release the following statement:

“Although I don’t know where the leaks came from, the 3 songs leaked to the internet today were unfinished tracks and premature versions of songs. I’m glad that my supporters are excited about the new project, but to get the final masterpiece, the album Theater of the Mind premieres on Nov 25th.”

SLAP | Ludacris ft. Lil Wayne | “Last of a Dying Breed”

If you missed the opening of the BET Hip Hop Awards, well, that’s a shame, cause Ludacris dropped a verse that opened eyes and mouths. No worries though, we have it right here, complete with Lil Wayne’s verse on it.

Ironically, this track is one where Luda boasts at being a lyricist and among the best in the game, along with the dude who eventually won the award… After listening to them both objectively, it’s clear who delivers the better “lyrics…” and it isn’t the guy BET chose to honor with every elite award they had to offer.

As an added bonus, we’re providing another Luda link – “I Do It For Hip Hop…” If these tracks are any indication of what’s to come, Theater of the Mind might be that one… that contends with Raw Footage for album of the year… in our humble opinion.

I Do It For Hip Hop

Ludacris and 9th Wonder ROTFL @ KC and JoJo!!

* Disclaimer – We would have posted this much earlier in the week, but the options are slim and we don’t use Firefox… basically, the only place we can successfully upload at the moment is youtube and they’re typically a couple few days tardy. If anyone out there has tips on uploading from different sources, please let us know –> info@kreativesouls.com.

As for this clip, it finds Luda and 9th Wonder are in the studio mixing Theater of the Mind and in between they find time to amuse themselves. The subject of their conversation is apparently KC and Jojo’s recent performance that got loads of press for all the wrong reasons.

Check it out!

SLAP | T.I. Featuring Ludacris & B.O.B. | “On Top of the World”

Tip's happy it's over...

We’re a little tardy with this one, but we have a good excuse… Nobody had time to listen to it before today!! Glad we did though, cause this mufucka bangs!! Tip and Luda finally ended the funk and came together in a real way. Oh yeah, B.O.B. is on the track too. We think he does the hook… but it doesn’t really matter.

The focus here is where it should be – on the two most talked about, talented rappers in Atlanta. Hell, let us tell it, the whole damn south! We know someone else from New Orleans got nominated for damn near every BET hip hop award available, but who says we have to ride the bandwagon along with everyone else?

“On Top Of The World” is a musical testimony that speaks to the rise of a pair of individuals that defied the odds, however trying they may have been. At the top of the track Tip exercises his noticeably improved vocabulary, sketching a visual of progress by any means necessary.

Luda on the other hand, emphasizes his mind for individual enterprise among other things, simultaneously threatening to seize the artistic rights to an unruly Kanye West produced thumper. In the end T.I. regains control, urging his supporters and detractors alike to appreciate where he is, opposed to where he’s been.

A little braggadocios – ok, a lot – but if it was the grounds to bring these two together at last, we toast to the boast!

On Top Of the World

*TI and Luda did another track entitled “Wish You Would” that is slated to appear on Luda’s forthcoming Theater of the Mind. Click this to hear it.
