Well if it isn’t thirteen years later and Pac’s words are ringing louder than ever. Often known to vacillate between two extremes, he was a Gemini to heart. There was the good 2pac and there was the disruptive, beligerent Pac. Prior to his untimely death, the peaceful, benevolent side of him was moved to release this poignant track called “Changes,” one that bellowed:

I know it might seem heaven sent/ but we ain’t ready to see a Black President…

He must be proud to know how far we’ve come.

BETs Third Season of “American Gangster” To Include Mutulu Shakur Among Others

The third season of BET’s popular hit series “American Gangster” is slated to profile a pool of new gangsters including Monster Kody Scott, Larry Davis, J. Edgar Hoover and Mutulu Shakur. The latter subject is widely recognized as the stepfather of the late rap legend, Tupac Shakur.

Even after the 12 year anniversary of his untimely death, 2pac’s been on the mind of late. We just happened to stumble upon this gem today and thought we would drop it for “Throwback Thursdays.”

The irony… Pac would be 37 years old today and possibly Barack Obama’s running mate or the biggest, most influential human vehicle to unite young America during these historical times.
