Suge Knight Faces Felony Charges Over Domestic Dispute

This has not been Marion “Suge” Knight’s year. First he lost his label, Death Row Records, in a bankruptcy auction. Then he sued Kanye West over a diamond earring lost at the rapper’s 2005 pre-VMA party. And late Friday, the Clark County, Nevada, district attorney’s office decided to file two felony drug charges and one misdemeanor battery charge against Knight.

The charges stem from an incident in which police allege that they witnessed Knight beating his girlfriend while holding a knife over her in a parking lot near the Las Vegas Strip on August 27. The drug charges are related to Knight’s alleged possession of ecstasy and hydrocodone on the night of the incident.

According to TMZ, Knight is alleged to have punched his girlfriend of three years, Melissa Isaac, in the back of the head while they were driving around the city. She then reportedly grabbed the wheel of the vehicle and forced it into a curb. As she ran from the car, Knight gave chase. Police arrived as Knight was allegedly running after Isaac, and they told TMZ they witnessed the former UNLV defensive end kick Isaac in the head.

The Associated Press reports that Isaac — whom police allegedly found naked by the side of the road during the incident, according to a previous TMZ report — was not stabbed, but was treated at a local hospital for unspecified injuries. Knight was released on $19,000 bail after his arrest.

A spokesperson for the Clark County district attorney’s office could not be reached for comment at press time.

KS News | Katt Williams Being Treated In Hospital

Seems like the bizarre behavior of Katt Williams has finally come to a head. Earlier in the week, the comedian was reportedly hospitalized and prior to being admitted, this video was made in Sumter, South Carolina as the two time BET Hip Hop Awards host attempted to check into a room.

Williams pubicist Yvette Shearer released the following statement.

“Following an arduous 300 shows and an 18-month touring schedule that left him incredibly fatigued, Katt, a veteran of MTV’s ‘Wild ‘N Out,’ felt compelled to be with his family in an effort to deal with his stress. While doing so, he is under a doctor’s care.”

Chicago Rapper Bump J Arrested For Bank Robbery!!

Since being indicted on charges in September of 2007, Chicago rapper Bump J was reportedly on the run with what was left of $100,000 he acquired in a bank robbery in January of the same year.

Bump, whose government name is Terrance Boyken, was pulled over on a routine traffic stop in Carbondale, Illinois and subsequently taken into custody.

Sources say he and another suspect were the subject of a nationwide man hunt.

It’s obvious by the way he spits that Oakland native Esinchill is in grind mode. “Soul of the City,” a track from his forthcoming album, Vigilante, embodies the struggle, the fight and the ultimate prize that comes from the dedicatoin and committment it takes to succeed. Along with Chicago crooner Dave Hollister, who deliversa an infectious hook, he represents the underdog and does it damn well.

It’s West Coast Swag with a Southern Twist – good game, good energy and good vibrations. It’s the proclamation Short made on the classic, Get In Where You Fit In. It’s 40’s merge with BME and eventual breakthrough’s such as “Snap Yo Fingers” and “You & Dat Booty.” It’s Keyshia Cole’s arrival in 2006 – one that spawned BETs hit reality series, “The Way It Is.” And best believe it’s Willie Joe’s rise from unknown underground rapper to showcase phenomenon turned Sho’Nuff Records signee.

“Bay-TL Livin’” is also the “schoolhouse.” It’s thousands of college students that made their way across the country to see what the hype was all about – Clark Atlanta University, Spelman, Morris Brown, Morehouse, GA State, GA Tech, etc.

So if you’re from the Bay and you consider yourself a “Bayboy” or a “Go Girl” (sorry CiCi, but that’s our shit), you would want to be in the building. If you fuck with the Bay, you would want to be in the building. If you’re curious… well, you know what it is…
